  • Materials and Care

    Teak
    Teak is a prized wood in outdoor furniture production due to its high resistance to bad weather and natural oil content that protects against bacteria and decay. At Manutti, it is produced in an eco-responsible way. Like a fine wine, teak grows in quality over time, which is why Manutti ensures every teak tree it uses is at least 60 to 80 years old. Left outside, raw teak furniture will naturally turn from orange-brown to a pale-grey tone. To maintain or restore its original colour, be sure to apply a sealant or oil specially designed for teak as soon as the wood begins to fade. Regular cleaning with water and mild soap is also recommended to remove any dirt.
    Olefin
    Ideal for outdoor use, olefin is a synthetic fabric made from polyolefin fibres. Soft and light, this upholstery is resistant to scratches, mildew, and the wear and tear of the sun’s rays. It dries quickly and is not easily stained. Cleaning is also a breeze: simply use fresh water and a mild soap.
    Rope
    Manutti crafts its rope from a blend of Textilene® and polyolefin fibres, making it waterproof, fade resistant and impervious to sun damage. It is also recyclable, as well as GreenGuard and REACH certified. Maintain its appearance with a soft brush and fabric cleaner.
